We identify as people with hearing loss who are oral (i.e., use spoken language to communicate, not ASL) .   
·        Our daily lives depend on using:
·        hearing aids/CIs, BAHAs
·        lip reading,
·        amplified /or captioned telephones,
·        speech to text in situations,
·        captioning for movies/TV,
·        CART at events, 
·        Our homes uses assistive hearing and visual devices for doorbells, alarm clocks, phone calls, security alerts, sounds that need immediate attention.
