Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT)

​Hearing Aids are Not Enough.  HAT includes
  • assistive listening devices and systems (such as FM and Infrared IR, hearing loop systems, and Auracast), 
  • telecommunications products and services (such as captioned telephones and relay services) and
  • alerting devices (such as alarm clocks, smoke-detectors, door bells, phone calls, etc. that use loud audio alerts, vibrating receivers and/or flashing lights)
  • Hearing Ear Dogs

  • Assistive Listening Devices for the Phone

The Communications Technology Program (CTP) at the Colorado Division for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf/Blind provides communications resources and tools, such as amplified and captioned phones, smartphones and tablets, as well as ring signalers and neck loops or head sets and specialized equipment at no charge to qualified deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind. This technology gives a person access to family and the community at large.
